April ’25
Only one photo this month. If you conclude from that, that the TD was busy elsewhere you’d be correct. A sudden influx of unannounced players (5), my new spreadsheet unable to run on my new Android tablet for the first two rounds, 16 players, a number of which had never used a clock (my bad) and two new players unfamiliar with the doubling cube and the Crawford rule led to a very slow tournament.
However, there was no argument as to the winner. Terry 4/4 and never got closer to losing than 7/4 against Sherin.
The $50 pool and bottle of wine went to Terry, R/U your TD
The $20 pool and bottle of wine went to Paula who was also R/U in the tournament
R/U in the $20 pool and 3rd in the tournament was Noah.
Next month’s tournament is being held on the 3rd May (Election Day!). Make sure you’ve either voted early or researched the times of your local voting venue.
Iḿ grateful to Adam for volunteering to run the May event as my wife and I will be attending the 100th birthday of Isabell our lovely neighbour. Please give him your support and understanding.
