The November tournament was a very tough and hard fought affair.
5 of the first 6 matches finished 5/4. Then 3 more over the next 9!
Your TD was a little worried about working out 1st 2nd and 3rd.
In the end Dave (a new member and first timer) won on a count back having won 3 (Dinner for 2 and $80). Yours truly came 2nd with 3 wins (Bottle of wine and $65 and Martin was the R/U (Bottle of wine) also with 3 wins.
An honourable mention must go to Ali who won his first 3 matches.
Having lost the 4th he only needed to beat Julia (his partner) in the final round for a dinner for two and the $80 in the $20 pool. Unfortunately Julia was victorious; 5/4 again!
The next tournament is on Saturday December 2nd 2023. The prize pool will be expanded to include the $20 portion of the membership fee. I’ll have more to say about this closer to the time.
